Oh my goodness, Summer is finally here! Get ready for pool parties, cooled drinks and lots and lots of sunshine. And now it’s even better, because you can make your own ice cream to play with or make into a keychain. And the best part is, you can use up all your leftover yarns for this, because ice cream and toppings comes in all the colors!

This pattern is based on a free pattern I found on instagram, that was in an Asian language and I couldn’t read it except the numbers.

Assembly

With the color of the ice cream, sc 4 in each of the front loops of round 13 to make the ribbed edge.

If you made a topper: sew the topper on top of the ice cream. Try to make it look like it’s dripping off the ice cream by sewing the bottom instead of the edges. You can also add sprinkles to this if you want to.

If you didn’t make a topper: decorate with sprinkles or any other kind of decoration you want to.

If you want to make a keychain: attach a keychain and sew it on with the color of the topper (if you made a topper) or the color of the ice cream (if you didn’t make a topper).

That’s all! Now go make a lot of ice creams to enjoy Summer to the fullest 🙂 I love to see your work, so be sure to use #nerdwithyarn when you share it on social media.
